Woolworths in partnership with European based food distribution company Hilton Food Group came together to build Woolworths’ primary meat and distribution facility for Victoria.
This design and construct project included a 6,200m2 meat production and processing area, 9,510m2 storage area, 6,800m2 mezzanine storage/technical department and 2300m2 office/ hygiene area.
Mechanical services design scope covered the supply and installation of Production Area drying fans, washdown ventilation systems, crate wash airconditioning and ventilation systems with food grade filtration.
Other system particulars included the installation of heat exchangers, heat hot water boilers with HHW primary and secondary circulation pumps, stainless steel pipework reticulation.
Production areas were pressurised by 100% outside air systems and served by industrial gasses systems such as nitrogen, oxygen, carbon dioxide, compressed air and vacuum systems
