Equinix’s first Melbourne data centre is a purpose built 9,800 sqm Tier 3 facility.
The proposed facility is a data centre with a total capacity of approximately 1500 IT cabinets that will be installed in four data halls in addition to electrical switch rooms and battery rooms all constructed over multiple phases. The building also includes a two level administration building with meeting rooms, administration space, open space office, private offices and amenities.
Cooling to the Co-location rooms were by indirect evaporative coolers with partial DX systems. The provision of a 10,000L water storage tank was fitted under each indirect evaporative DX AHU.
